Bond market close time
Financial markets in the U.S. will be closed on Monday for the observance of Memorial Day, in honor of men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
The stock and bond market will remain closed, while trading in all Globex contracts will be halted from 1 to 6 p.m. Eastern.
Oil futures will trade during the New York morning on Monday, through the electronic Globex platform.
Futures contracts tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average , S&P 500 index and the Nasdaq-100 index will trade until 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
Currency markets will be open for trading, but volumes are expected to be light during the North American hours.
Bond traders will get an early dismissal on Friday, as the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association has recommended a 2 p.m. Eastern close.
But U.S. stock exchanges will observe normal trading hours Friday, which is also a full day of trading for commodity futures markets.
U.K. markets UKX, +0.62% will be closed Monday for a spring bank holiday. But it will be business as usual for other markets in Europe SXXP, -0.80% and in China SHCOMP,
